This tool features a unique inverted V-shaped step design that sets it apart from traditional pitchfork-style tools. Instead of balancing your foot on a narrow crossbar, the handle socket fits into the top of an inverted V frame so your foot can rest securely inside the step. This provides better balance, improved leverage, and a more comfortable driving motion when pushing the tines into the soil.
Each fork is built with hand-forged square steel tines, which are widely regarded as the best shape for soil aeration. Square tines open and lift the soil structure properly, allowing air, water, and roots to move freely through the ground.
At around 12 pounds, the Mini Groundbreaker is one of the lightest tools of its kind on the market, allowing you to work longer with less fatigue.
All tines are welded on and are made from mild steel, allowing them to be bent back into shape if they ever encounter extreme resistance.
A two-inch wide step plate sits above the main tine bar, creating a much more comfortable surface for your foot when driving the tool into the soil. Traditional forks force you to step on a narrow bar that quickly becomes painful during extended use. The wide plate distributes pressure across your foot so you can work beds for hours comfortably. 
Handles are available in steel pipe or solid hickory hardwood, both fitted with durable rubber grips. The interchangeable design allows you to switch handle types later without replacing the entire tool.
